Comparison of isolates derived from initial healthcare treatment facilities during the first seven days post-injury, compared with infections arising later in the treatment pathway, (and after transfer to additional treatment facilities) showed a trend to increasing resistance for infections arising later and significantly so for gentamicin and colistin.
