Conversely, in contrast to data suggesting a role for GTSE1 in promoting cell migration ( Scolz et al., 2012 ; Lin et al., 2019 ; Lei et al., 2023 ; Wu et al., 2017 ) GTSE1 levels and phosphorylation demonstrated a negative trend with proteins associated with cell migration and epithelial–mesenchymal transition, such as Vimentin, MMP1, and ETS1, but these did not attain statistical significance.
