In the present study, POD and CAT activities showed a trend of increasing and then decreasing in the 80-fold concentration group ( Figure 1 D and Figure 3 D), suggesting that when the antioxidant system is unable to eliminate or neutralize excess ROS, the risk of oxidative damage increases due to the accumulation of lipid peroxides, which in turn may reduce the enzyme activities.
