Although the MLCK c.49C>T polymorphism did not reach statistical significance, it demonstrated a trend ( p = 0.080) with a greater frequency of the heterozygous genotype (CT) in players supplemented with iron (57.1%) compared to those not supplemented with iron (23.5%).
