Per 15 g/day estimates seem to suggest a stronger association for men compared with women, and for distal colon (in men) and rectal cancer (both sexes) compared with proximal colon cancer, but the interaction by sex and by subsite did not reach statistical significance ( P interaction = .19 for sex, P interaction = .19 for subsites in women and 0.22 in men).
