6 Mezad-Koursh et al 7 conducted a small study of 64 eyes and reported, that hyperechogenic findings on ultrasound in eyes with PHOMS were significantly smaller than the hyperechogenic findings in eyes that also had ODD present; their data showed positive correlation between the presence of ODD and higher reflectivity although this did not reach statistical significance.
