Stochastic processes dominate the community assembly of ectomycorrhizal fungi associated with <i>Betula platyphylla</i> in Inner Mongolia, China.

It spans about 2,400 km from east to west in Inner Mongolia, and the soil pH value in the site shows a significant trend of change, gradually transitioning from the alkaline soil of the HLS in the western (pH 7.51–8.57) to the acidic soil of the GH in the eastern (pH 4.84–4.91).
