After adjusting for age and sex, there was a significant positive association of FTD with the highest levels of Mn (OR adjusted = 11.1, 95% CI: 1.57–132) with a significant positive trend across increasing plasma levels (p trend = 0.02); and the middle (OR adjusted = 4.46, 95% CI: 3.96–86.1) and highest categories of Cr (OR adjusted = 9.86, 95% CI: 1.24–218), again with a significant trend across levels (p trend = 0.05).
