Outcomes according to EF status Among patients with HF, those with an EF of ≤ 40% showed a trend toward higher rates of adverse events including MACE (8.8% vs 3.5%; aHR 1.38; 95% CI, 0.59-3.22), MI (3.9% vs 1.7%; aHR, 1.30; 95% CI, 0.40-4.23), CV death (4.4% vs 1.5%; aHR, 1.95; 95% CI, 0.49-7.75), and major bleeding (1.6% vs 0.6%; aHR, 2.61; 95% CI, 0.36-19.06; Table 3 ; Fig. 3 ).
