While there was a trend toward higher MeCo scores in stage IV disease compared to stages II–III, this difference did not reach statistical significance, possibly due to the limited number of stage IV samples ( n = 9) in the METABRIC cohort or because mechanical conditioning reflects intrinsic tumor biology rather than anatomical disease extent.
