Earlier studies showed the use of smaller RGP;[ 55 ] however, later studies showed a trend toward increasing sizes of RGP[ 37 38 47 48 52 ] and mini-scleral or scleral lenses.[ 13 14 25 41 42 45 46 56 57 58 ] However, the smaller RGP remains an option in patients who face difficulty in handling scleral lenses.[ 59 ] Optic zone: The size of the optic zone is determined by the base curve and should be large enough to cover the graft zone to minimize glare.
