We found that while all mice in the control group (4/4) developed detectable tumors by day 17 that progressed rapidly thereafter, tumors in the IGF-Trap-treated group were only detectable in 1/5 mice at that time, and the growth rate in the majority of treated mice was lower than in the control group, although the difference under these experimental conditions did not reach statistical significance (defined as P ≤ 0.05) ( Figure 3B ).
