Five eligible studies suggested that the LGI diet had a greater effect on reducing total testosterone levels than did the HGI diet in PCOS patients, although the results did not reach statistical significance (SMD: −0.40, 95% CI: −0.84 to 0.04, P = 0.07, I 2 = 61%) ( Figure 4b ).
