Western blot analysis revealed that MuRF1 signaling was inactivated in the LCFA+MCFA group (which was supplemented with 150 μM of palmitic acid (C16) and 30 μM of lauric acid (C12) per 1 mL of medium) relative to the control group (which was not supplemented with any additional components) and the LCFA group (which was supplemented with 150 μM of palmitic acid (C16) per 1 mL of medium); however, the difference between the control and the LCFA group did not reach statistical significance ( Figure 5 A,B).
