When expressing the TyG index as a categorical variable, compared with quartile 1 in the univariate model, quartile 2 and quartile 3 did not exhibit statistical significance, while quartile 4 had an OR of 1.49 (95% CI: 1.07 to 2.09, p=0.018) with a significant trend (p value for trend <0.05).
