Although the association did not reach statistical significance in the multivariate model, the protective effect remained pronounced, with adjuvant CS associated with a 91 % reduction in recurrence odds, but, within a relatively wide 95 % CI: 0.01–1.29, after adjusting for postoperative GCS, Markwalder score, hematoma thickness, and pneumocephalus (OR = 0.09, p = 0.076).
