NW individuals had significantly higher fasting values of glutamine ( p < 0.05) as well as higher values of glycine compared to OW individuals, for which although the difference did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.059), this trend aligns with findings from previous studies comparing similar populations[ 14 , 15 ].
