Cells co-cultured in the 3D system showed a trend of reduced oxidative stress in association with a significantly lower release of LDH enzyme and cTnI, indicating a less critical condition for cell survival and function in the 3D system with HCAECs with respect to the 2D hiPSC-CMs monoculture.
