To further investigate these interactions, we plotted the predicted 1 H and 15 N chemical shifts against the shortest hydrogen bond distances: Nδ-Hε in EEEE and Nε–Hδ in DDDD ( Figure B). Notably, the deshielding of δ( 1 Hε) and δ( 1 Hδ) exhibits a clear trend with decreasing hydrogen bond distance, whereas a reversed trend is observed for Nε–Hε, and Nδ–Hδ distances ( Figure S6, Table S2, and S3 ).
