When a more stringent threshold ( p < 0.0005) was applied, the predictive performance using positive GFC alone did not reach statistical significance ( r = 0.37, p permu = 0.116), but models using negative GFC ( r = 0.47, p permu = 0.038) and combined GFC ( r = 0.59, p permu = 0.015) remained significant (see Figure S2 ).
