The increase in SAU incidence was statistically significant between our large control cohort at 40 days of age and the day 50 contralateral retinas ( P = 0.032) and all test cohort retinas (day 50 ipsilateral and contralateral retinas, 34/42, 81%; P = 0.0077), and the increase in incidence in the ipsilateral day 50 test retinas approached significance ( P = 0.053).
