Although high stress levels showed borderline significance in the multivariate model (OR = 0.70, 95% CI: 0.49–1.00, p = 0.05), good family support maintained a positive association with symptom relief (OR = 1.40, 95% CI: 1.00–2.10, p = 0.05).
Patients who reported only smoking ( n = 18) or only alcohol use ( n = 44) had intermediate severity scores (3.1 ± 1.0 and 3.0 ± 1.1, respectively), though these differences did not reach statistical significance.
In terms of gender, females had a slightly higher rate of symptom relief (54.5%) compared to males (45.9%), with an odds ratio (OR) of 1.35 (95% CI: 1.00–1.82, p = 0.05), suggesting a marginally significant association.
