However, in contrast to the findings of Sun et al 23 who reported significant associations between late-pregnancy HOMA-IR (measured at 32–36 weeks)/change in HOMA-IR (ΔHOMA-IR) and adverse outcomes including macrosomia, HOMA-IR measured at a single mid-gestation time point (28–30 weeks) in our study did not reach statistical significance in the multivariate model (OR=1.44, p=0.097).
