An earlier meta-analysis of prospective cohort studies in Asian populations reported a significant association between green tea consumption and reduced risk of liver cancer (RR: 0.88; 95% CI: 0.81; 0.97), but the association was only marginally significant for one additional daily cup of tea (RR: 0.97; 95% CI: 0.95, 1.00) [ 12 ].
