The association between dizziness and vestibular test findings was not statistically significant in most categories, there was a trend toward significance for abnormal ocular VEMPs in patients with dizziness (42.1% vs. 15.4%, p = 0.047) (Table 5 ).
Interestingly, patients in the spatial disorientation group showed better performance in visual memory immediate recall ( p = 0.061), although this did not reach statistical significance.
This approach may increase the risk of false negative or false positive error, and therefore, the results with a marginal significance should be interpreted with caution.
