Additionally, responders reported significantly higher baseline PTSD severity score on HTQ (median = 3.2, IQR = 0.4) compared to non-responders (median = 2.6, IQR = 0.6), with a highly significant difference (U=474.5 p < 0.001).
Previous research has also reported no performance differences despite clear neural processing changes during response inhibition task ( 80 , 81 ) suggesting that responders may engage inhibitory processes more efficiently ( 30 ) However, the failure to observe statistically significant behavioural changes after Bonferroni correction—despite clear trends and FDR-adjusted p-values approaching significance—may also reflect limitations in sample size and statistical power.
