In line with existing work ( Kurer & van Staalduinen, 2022 ), we find some evidence of socio-cultural conservatism among downwardly mobile men who are more intensely anti-immigrant than upwardly mobile men; suggestive but not significant evidence for attitudes towards the EU points in a similar direction.
