In our study, male gender showed a nearly significant positive correlation with the occurrence of tibial periprosthetic radiolucency ( p = 0.053), while age ( p = 0.519), smoking status ( p = 0.764), and BMI ( p = 0.147) did not independently correlate with tibial periprosthetic radiolucency, tibial AL, and therefore need for revision.
