After 24 h, both CD4 + and CD8 + T cells showed a highly significant increase in the expression of genes induced by IFN type I ( IFI6, ISG15, MX1, MX2, HERC5, TRIM22, IFI16, IFIT1, and OAS2 ) and of other genes involved in the immune response ( STAT1, XAF1, RNF213, and SAMD9 ).
