A clear trend was observed, with an increasing cell count in the outer edge region of the organoids, ranging from ≈750 cells mm − 2 for the 50 mg mL −1 hydrogel to ≈2250 cells mm − 2 for the 12.5 mg mL −1 hydrogel (p = 0.2600).
