The reduction in overall RLN injuries was statistically significant ( p = 0.03), and Fisher’s exact test confirmed a significant decrease in bilateral RLN injuries ( p = 0.04), while the decrease in permanent unilateral palsies did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.11).
