Similarly, IPTp with dihydroartemisinin–piperaquine plus sulfadoxine–pyrimethamine was associated with a higher risk of the composite adverse birth outcome compared to sulfadoxine–pyrimethamine alone, although this difference did not reach statistical significance (255 [30.0%] of 850 versus 222 [26.4%] of 842; RR 1.14 [95% CI 0.98–1.33], p = 0.10) ( Fig 2B ).
