Examination of the means indicates that participants ate fewer nuts in the misinformation condition (M = -0.06, SE = 0.09) than in the control condition (M = 0.11, SE = 0.12), and fewer of the target nut (M = -0.02, SE = 0.09) than the non-target nut (M = 0.07, SE = 0.09), but these effects did not reach statistical significance; see Fig. 4 .
