The basal levels of spermine were very similar in SGT2 ox and WT plants, and a little lower in SGT1 ami plants, but after cold treatment there was a clear trend to decrease in SGT1 ami and WT plants that was not observed in the SGT2 ox plants ( Fig. 7A ).
