Although the increase in AUC from 75.4% to 76.3% (ΔAUC = 0.9%) did not reach statistical significance (Delong test Z = − 1.196, p = 0.232), the categorical Net Reclassification Improvement (NRI) was 3.7% (95% CI: 0.75% to 6.7%, p = 0.014), and the continuous NRI was 38.5% (95% CI: 26.5% to 50.5%, p < 0.001), indicating a statistically significant improvement in risk classification.
