In-hospital mortality was twice as high among patients with severe vs nonsevere forms of ACHD although this did not reach statistical significance (12.6% vs 6.0%; unadjusted OR: 2.25; 95% CI: 0.92-5.47; P = 0.07) ( Figure 1A ); results were similar after adjustment for M-CARS (adjusted OR: 2.72; 95% CI: 0.95-8.43; P = 0.06).
