In aprotic solvents such as DMSO, DMF, tetrahydrofuran (THF), 1,4-dioxane, cyclopentanone, and acetonitrile (ACN), a clear trend is observed: the higher the solvent’s β value, the lower the ω (NHCN) vibrational frequency (i.e., a shift to lower wavenumbers, referred to as a red shift).
