Six additional signs that approached significance were also identified, including a unilateral non‐painful somatosensory aura ( p = 0.07) and arm/hand elementary motor signs ( p = 0.1), both suggestive of posterior insula SOZ.
We selected this approach because of its practicality using well‐established anatomical landmarks without necessitating additional parcellation software, and its dorsal‐ventral division of the anterior insula, which may be significant based on our evolving understanding of the cytoarchitectonic and functional domains of the insula. 5 , 12 Figure 1B shows a typical schema for dense insular implantation at our center.
