LD score regression and Mendelian randomization Using LD score regression, we found significantly inverse genetic correlations between WHtR and NAFLD (rg = 0.1777, p = 1.78E-07, fdr = 1.39E-05), liver fibrosis (rg = 0.1705, p = 0.0257, fdr = 0.182), and alcoholic liver disease (rg = 0.1231, p = 4.29E-02, fdr = 0.260), while liver cancer did not reach statistical significance (Fig. 2 A and B, Supplementary Table 14).
