Early onset breast cancer, typically defined as breast cancer diagnosed in patients younger than 40 years, is gradually increasing; an important trend is the increase in other modifiable factors, including physical inactivity, western-style diet, sugar-sweetened beverage intake, and concomitant obesity in this population [ 42 – 44 ].
