M* DAMGO monomer/homodimer internalization would occur much less efficiently at the level of individual molecules, but since larger fractions of M* DAMGO exist as monomers at any moment, the overall contributions of M* DAMGO monomers/homodimers to M* DAMGO internalization are quite significant (Fig. 9c ).
