Lathosterol showed a trend toward greater lowering in patients with higher LDL-C at baseline, and the XR 0.8 mg/day group was associated with significantly greater lathosterol lowering than the IR 0.2 mg/day group, with the exception of the LDL-C ≥ 160 mg/dL subgroup. β-Sitosterol and campesterol showed a trend toward greater lowering in patients with higher LDL-C at baseline, but there was no statistical difference in the percentage change among the treatment groups.
