18 The association with reduced hospitalization for asthma did not reach statistical significance (aOR 0.77, 95% CI 0.56–1.06). 19 Additionally, we demonstrated that, compared with formula feeding, exclusive or partial breastfeeding was linked to lower odds of hospitalization for Kawasaki disease between 6 and 30 months of age (aOR 0.26, 95% CI 0.12–0.55) (Figure 1a ). 20 We also observed that breastfeeding was associated with achieving age‐appropriate behavior at ages 2.5 and 5.5 years (Figure 1b ). 21 These associations were most pronounced in exclusively breastfed children.
