Comparison of ∆ 57 Fe distribution showed a clear trend in plants both with and without Fe preculture; more ∆ 57 Fe was distributed to the shoot basal region, but less to the new leaves (leaf 7-8) of the mutants compared with the WT (Fig. 8e-f ).
