nominally significantP < 0.05
In order to focus on the most interesting gene knockdown effects, RNAi “hits” for a given phenotype were called when the genotype-by-treatment interaction for at least one ANOVA was significant at P < 0.0003 (=0.05/(21 × 4 × 2), since we tested 21 different UAS-RNAi genotypes, against 4 controls, for 2 phenotypes), the interaction was at least nominally significant ( P < 0.05) for the other 3 ANOVAs, and the direction of the effect was consistent over the 4 tests.
