Adjusted HRs increased in a dose-dependent pattern across SOFA strata, from HR 1.53 (95% CI, 0.95–2.45) in patients with SOFA scores of 0–4 to HR 1.89 (95% CI, 1.23–2.92) in those with a SOFA score ≥ 15, although the interaction term did not reach statistical significance ( P for interaction = 0.121).
