Exceptions included sporadic significant differences on day 13 (“D13”) and trends approaching significance on day 5 (“Day 5”) between 7.5 and 10.5 °C, and between D5 and D13 at 7.5 °C (Additional File 1: Table S2), indicating that sediment and gut mucosa microbiome dynamics are largely decoupled.
