Evaluation of other markers such as hsCRP, which is elevated in patients with obesity and MASH (Table 1 ), showed a trend to reduction in hsCRP in patients with ≥ 5% weight loss relative to patients without 5% weight loss that was independent of treatment with any T2DM agent, resmetirom, or placebo. 4 Discussion Approximately 2/3 of patients with biopsy‐confirmed MASH with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis also have T2DM [ 33 ], as reflected in the MAESTRO‐NASH baseline population characteristics.
