In fact, no significant differences in iron content in beef ( p > 0.05) were observed among the different breeds studied, despite the animals being slaughtered at different ages, in accordance with the traditional breeding system of the different breeds, although on average, the Lidia breed (with the highest slaughter age and the leanest meat) showed a trend to have the highest iron content.
