In the univariate Kaplan–Meier analysis, the following factors were significantly associated with survival: age ( p < 0.001), sex ( p < 0.001), location of the BM ( p = 0.006), primary organ of the metastasis ( p = 0.019) and, with borderline significance, the histological subtype ( p = 0.050).
